jorge ramirez who?

in recent months complete strangers seem overly keen to e-mail me.  everybody and their panamanian dog have sent me requests, their love, their travel arrangements etc. etc.

I thought I'd share with you some of the most "interesting" ones.  sadly, I have foolishly disposed of the delightful e-mail I received from candy in california in which she thanked me for "our chat" last night and thoughtfully attached a photo of herself - golden locks gently framed a teethy 40-something smile as her pure white blouse slipped seductively off a bronzed big-boned shoulder.  grrr!

jorge ramirez, a citizen of panama, writes offering me $189 to teach him PRACTICAL ENGLISH AND THE COMMAND OF WORDS. apparently he wishes for me to send him some "didactic material."  moments later, jorge sends me a second e-mail containing the happy99 virus.  cheers jorge, you're a star!

hedley featherstone (undoubtedly the nom-de-plume of a pre-war gardening correspondent for the times) writes to finalise the arrangements for a spot of clay pigeon shooting. I stood him up... sorry, hedley.
